50 5K by 50: My Annual 5K for the Benefit of the Doubt

This is a web page template that anyone can use to help race participants, their friends and family to a positive experience. Whether it's a 1-mile fun run or a marathon, these topics are important.

The template is a work in progress. I tweak it as I get more feedback from other runners, walkers, strollers, and from race organizers on what's important to them.

Topics are in bold text, details in normal fonts, and commentaries in red. Details are examples only.

When: Last Sunday of September. Race starts at 9:00 am. Check out the day's agenda.

Entry Free: $25 if postmarked by December 23, includes tech shirt. Afterwards, including race day, $30; shirt based on availability. If a Member of the Crazy Club, those prices are $18 by 12/23; $20 afterwards.

Course / Elevation Map: mostly paved trail, flat route around a running creek - a refreshing treat. Water stations will be available at every mile, and expect cheering squads who will direct you at every crossroads. Click map below to enlarge it.

Surface: 1 mile paved trail, 1 mile of grass, 1 mile of asphalt, and .1 mile of fluffy feathers for a relaxing finish
